The Mann Educational
Opportunity
Endowment honors Bernard (1919-1988) and Kathlyn Mann (193 1-1987)
These African- American parents and citizens of Madison raised five children — all of whom graduated from the Madison Public Schools and all of whom completed baccalaureate degrees.
Bernie and Kathy were role models who deeply valued education. They worked with the schools to assure that their children received an education that would prepare them for responsible, creative, contributing roles in society.
